I have always had a passion for animals since a young age, and a fascination with the intricacies of biology. It only made sense to enter a profession that combines both of these things that allows me to help provide pets with exceptional medical care, and become an advocate for animal health. I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2014. I enjoy basic nursing duties for pets and providing in-house treatments to ensure that they are comfortable and on the mend, whether they are staying with us or we are sending them home right away. Patient comfort is my top priority! I am also passionate about client education and helping pet owners be directly involved in the care of their pet to strengthen their bond.
My favourite part of my job is when owners come to pick up their pet from a stay in the hospital. Whether it was just for a day patient admittance, or a prolonged hospital stay, I love to see how excited both the pet and the owner are to see each other again after time apart, and that we as a team helped that animal feel better and go home happy and healthy. I am a huge nerd that can often be found quoting lines from The Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars, etc. around the clinic!
